A Muse storyteller filming on location
On location. Every film, every country, a person behind the camera.
Who we are · A Muse Storytelling company

For fifteen years Muse taught the world's filmmakers how story works. Muse & Co is where the best of them make yours.

Muse Storytelling started with a psychology student and a camera from Best Buy, and became five National Emmys, films in nearly a hundred countries, and the training ground for more than ten thousand filmmakers. Along the way we did something agencies don't do: we tested the method in the lab and published it in peer-reviewed journals.

There's an old story about Picasso sketching on a napkin for a stranger and naming a price that made her gasp. "It took you thirty seconds," she said. "No," he said. "It took me forty years." That is the honest math of a Muse film. You aren't paying for three minutes of footage. You're paying for the fifteen years that make those three minutes land.

Muse & Co is the production arm of that house. Muse Storytelling trains and certifies the storytellers. Muse & Co assembles the best of them, puts a Muse Creative Director over the work, and delivers the film to your brand. Same method. Same standard. One company behind it.

The problem with most brand video

Your customers can tell when a story is made for them and when it's made at them.

Every brand now has the same tools, the same stock, the same prompts. What they don't have is a real person, a real conflict, and a story that moves someone to act. That is the only part of marketing that became more valuable this year, not less, and it is the part we have spent fifteen years turning into a repeatable process.

A brand belief, brought to life. 3.3M views, 43 countries, their most-watched film ever.

The global campaign film for Four Seasons. No rooms, no rates, no resort until the very end. Real people, surprised by the people who love them.

Four pillars · one film
0:00 → 0:51
Plot · conflict & engagement

Confusion first. Then the calendar.

The hook is a real reaction, not a title card. The conflict is a life run from Outlook and a phone clutched in sleep. The resolution is the wall opening onto the place they promised to go.

“Our life is run from an Outlook calendar.”

People · character

A doctor, a dad, a sister. Then their people.

Desire: to be present. Motivation: the daughter, the wife, the sister who recorded the message. Uniqueness: we watch them hear it for the first time.

“When I'm home, I'm a husband and dad first.”

The set
Places · real stakes

One chair. One pair of headphones.

A bare stage strips everything but the face. When the resort finally appears behind them, the place has been earned, not advertised.

Take your time. With them.

The film never sells a stay. It asks one question: who are you not taking the time for? Four Seasons is simply where the answer happens.

The mechanism · Story Science™

Story is not magic.
It's biology. We published the proof.

In 1944 two psychologists, Heider and Simmel, showed people an animation of triangles and circles moving around a box. The audience invented villains, love stories and heartbreak. We are wired so deeply for narrative that we find it in shapes.

Most agencies stop at quoting that study. We ran our own. In two studies published in Media Psychology, Muse's founder and his co-authors tested what actually moves an audience. It wasn't production value and it wasn't enjoyment. It was the character: when viewers understood why someone wanted something, and watched them struggle for it, they felt more, were more moved, and were significantly more likely to share the story. Enjoyment alone predicted nothing.1

Then we asked the harder question: does it matter who tells the story? In three experiments with professionally produced films, published in the Journal of Business Research, we showed that the storyteller's own standing changes how true the audience believes the story is, how serious they judge the problem to be, and whether they act on it. Reveal the source at the wrong moment and the effect weakens.2

That is the mechanism inside every Muse film: a real person with a real reason, shown struggling for something that matters, told by the person who has the right to tell it. We built it into four pillars.

People · emotion
A story is never stronger than its characters. We find the real person your audience will root for: desire, motivation, uniqueness.
Plot · engagement
Hook, conflict, initiation, journey, resolution, jab. Six plot points that hold attention past the eight-second window.
Places · trust
Trust is built by showing, not telling. Time, environment, objects and situations that make the story undeniable.
Purpose · meaning
Every film starts with the action you need the audience to take. Awareness, equity and CAC are designed in, not hoped for.

Where we stand on AI · in writing, before you ask

AI works for our storytellers. It never stands in front of the camera.

We use AI the way a great editor uses a second brain: to pressure-test a story structure, to find the thread in forty hours of footage through AI-assisted post-production workflows, to plan a shoot in five countries. It makes us faster and more rigorous, and it gives more of our hours back to the part that matters.

Then a human storyteller gets on a plane. They sit at your founder's kitchen table, stand in your customer's workshop at dawn, earn the moment when someone says the true thing. Every frame we deliver was captured by a person, on location, with the real people whose story it is.

Every frame we deliver is shot by a person, on a real set, with real people. We don't generate the faces, the places or the moments and pass them off as real, because a story your audience can't trust isn't a story. It's a claim. Where a tool touches the work, we say so, in the credentials that ship with every film.

Every film ships with C2PA Content Credentials so your audience can verify who made it and how.
We use AI for
Research and story architecture. AI-assisted post-production workflows. Shot planning and logistics. Testing hooks and structure before we shoot. Reporting on what the film did to your numbers.
Never for
Generated people, places, products or b-roll presented as real. Synthetic voices standing in for real ones. Composited "real" moments. Anything your audience would need a disclosure label to understand.
Why
Over half your customers already distrust AI-made ads. Disclosure law now applies in the EU and New York. The human film is the one asset that gets more valuable every year, and it is the one we know how to make.

To think, yes: research, story architecture, the paper edit, planning, reporting. To make pictures, never. No generative people, places, products or b-roll appear in anything we deliver, and every film ships with C2PA Content Credentials so your audience can verify it.
On a matched paid-media test, your Muse & Co film goes head to head with the best creative you already run, on a metric we agree before we shoot: cost per lead, cost per acquisition or hold rate. If it does not win, we re-cut the film and re-run the test at no charge.
Brand Film + Social Suite is eight weeks. Growth Campaign is ninety days. For Apple we delivered five films in five countries in ten days, so when the story needs speed, the Collective is built for it.
